I’m Nevan Carter,

 

a 19-year-old entrepreneur from Roanoke, Virginia. Since I was a kid, I’ve always been active—whether it was playing sports, creating content, or finding new ways to challenge myself. I played sports throughout middle school, but by 14, I decided to shift my focus and got my first job as a cashier. From that point on, I was determined to earn my own money, gain independence, and build something for myself.

 

By the time I graduated high school, I had worked four different jobs, each one teaching me something valuable. But more than anything, they showed me one undeniable truth—I wasn’t built to work for someone else my entire life. I knew I had to create something of my own. The question was, what?

 

That’s when I looked back at what had always fascinated me: social media. I’ve been making content since I was a kid—some of my earliest videos are still floating around from over a decade ago flipping water bottles with my brothers. But I didn’t just want to create for fun; I wanted to use my passion to help others. That’s why I founded 40Factor Media, a social media management company designed to help small business owners who are already juggling a thousand responsibilities. Many don’t have the time or resources to build their brand online—that’s where I come in. My goal is to take social media off their plate, helping them grow their business while they focus on what they do best.

 

I’ve always been driven by the idea of building something bigger than myself, and 40Factor Media is just the beginning.
